Zhang Ziyi and Wang Feng are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary this year, but they still act a lot like newlyweds.

In fact, they’re so joined at the hip that Ziyi revealed in a recent interview that her husband has to speak to her on the phone every day even though they live together (and in a sprawling Beijing mansion, no less).

“It’s a must to talk over the phone every day, chuckled Ziyi. Sometimes I’m trying to focus on my work and I don't look at my phone. So when I miss his call, he would call my staff! They all know the call isn’t for them.

Talk about separation anxiety.

Some netizens have taken to calling the couple adorable for being so openly affectionate to each other despite being married for years.

But there were those who felt that Wang Feng is “too clingy” and “would end up driving Ziyi away for being too overbearing”.

One netizen wrote: “He seems very insecure about their relationship to need to call her every day. Dropping a short message or voice note should be enough. Why is he calling her when she’s at work?”

Another comment read: “He must have watched too many dramas about rich, successful wives having affairs with younger men. I hope Wang Feng trusts his wife more.”
