Here Are The Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Collectibles You Can Buy From The Snack Kiosk
Get ready to consume more plastic!
We’re one week away from the opening of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Here’s a guide to the assorted plastic playthings the cineplexes are bundling with your popcorn and nachos at their kiosks. If you’re unimpressed with their offering, you know what to do next — swing by Toys “R” Us. (Alternatively, you can just do Mother Nature a big favour by going easy on the plastic consumption; just skip the collectibles and stick with the snacks.) Remember: All items are available while stocks last.
Just what the world needs right now… more straws. But wait, these are reusable straws. (Seriously, are you really going to reuse them?) The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker combo ($11) includes one character helmet straw, one large popcorn, and one regular drink. Need a second character straw? Just cough up $4.50. There are three straws to collect: the Sith Trooper, Kylo Ren, and the Stormtrooper. Only at Cathay Cineplexes.
For every poporn/nachos/hotdog + drink combo purchase, you get either this cup or one character figure (there are three available: C-3PO, Kylo Ren, and R2-D2) for $14.50. GV Movie Club members enjoy $1 discount. Only at Golden Village Cineplexes.
For $15.90, the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker combo gives you a large drink, a large popcorn, and a lid cup (Stormtrooper, Kylo Ren, Sith Trooper, or Knight of Ren). And if you’re feeling generous, $39.90 will get you all four designs. Only at Shaw cineplexes.
The $16 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker combo includes one large popcorn, one large drink, and one Funko Mystery Minis. There are 12 figurines available: three Knights of Ren, Rey, Poe Dameron, Finn, Kylo Ren, Lando Calrissian, General Pryde, Sith Trooper,D-O, and Jannah. The characters are randomly given out. Only at WE Cineplexes.
That’s it? Popcorn boxes? Are they even considered collectibles? Real exciting. Oh well, they’re yours with every regular/large popcorn combo and ala carte popcorn (regular/large). Not sure what you can do with the boxes after you’ve emptied them. Any suggestions? Come to think of it: There's not a lot of plastic here. Only at Filmgarde Cineplexes.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens in cinemas Dec 19.
