Kingdom Season 2 To Premiere On March 13

Jun Ji-Hyun joins Netflix’s period zombie epic.

Netflix has set the premiere date for Season 2 of its Korean Original Series Kingdom: March 13.

The Joseon-era-set thriller — the streamer’s first original Korean production — stars Ju Ji-Hoon as a crown prince battling a power struggle as well as a zombie plague. The period piece also stars Bae Doona and Ryu Seung-Ryong.

Jun Ji-Hyun (The Legend of the Blue Sea) is said to have joined the cast in a cameo in Season 2. Her role is small but critical and will be promoted to a lead character in Season 3. Kingdom will be Ji-Hyun’s first acting gig in four years, and her first since giving birth to her second son in 2018.
