MasterChef Singapore is back — with a heartfelt twist.

The world’s greatest cooking competition is teaming up with the President’s Challenge and Social Service Agencies for a two-part MasterChef Singapore special.

The special, premiering Nov 2 on Ch 5, sees the return of MasterChef Singapore alums Genevieve Lee, Aaron Wong, Shamsydar Ani, and Sowmiya Venkatesan, this time as mentors to four home cooks yearning for a lucky break in the F&B industry.

1 of 2 Pay it forward: MasterChef alums Aaron Wong, Genevieve Lee, Shamsydar Ani, and Sowmiya Venkatesan.

Led by the veterans, the cooktestants— chosen from various charities — will compete in a series of culinary tasks.

In the first ep (Nov 2), they will face off in the Taste-and-Make Challenge and Mystery Box Challenge. In the concluding ep (Nov 9), they will be grouped into two teams in a restaurant takeover, where they have three hours to prepare a three-course meal for 50 people.

2 of 2 Impress them: (from left) Damian D'Silva, Audra Morrice, and Bjorn Shen are back as judges.

Bjorn Shen, Damian D’Silva and Audra Morrice are once again the judges. They will decide which best rookie cook walks away with a life-changing secret prize.

The MasterChef Singapore special will lead up to the ‘live’ simul-cast of the President’s Star Charity on Nov 10 (Sun), on Toggle and Ch 5, 7.30pm.

The MasterChef special airs Nov 2 & Nov 9, Ch 5, 8pm. It'll also be on Toggle.
