We’ve been in Phase 2 for a while, but not everyone feels the same about heading out. There are people who couldn’t be happier to be going out again, and then there are folks who are exercising caution whenever they're leaving their homes. For those who fall in the middle of this spectrum, perhaps dining in an enclosed space in the sky could just be the thing for you.

If you’re not a fan of sharing restaurant space with other diners, you could consider Cable Car Sky Dining, now that Singapore Cable Car is back in action. After all, the folks behind Singapore Cable Car are rolling out deals for this dining experience in the sky.

From $55 per pax, you'll enjoy seven local dishes, including chilli crab meat with mini mantou and chicken rice, from its Singapore Flavours menu. You'll set off from Mount Faber Cable Car Station (boarding time is 5.30pm to 6pm daily), and the meal will last 60 minutes. For something more glitzy, there's a four-course dinner menu available on the Stardust Cabin (from $158.40 per pax), and each session will last 90 minutes. Fancy some bubbly in the sky? Book its Champagne Cabin (from $294.80) for an hour-long sesh which comes with a bottle of champers and a selection of tapas.

1 of 2 Dining in cable cars: Safe or not?

Whether you choose to dine in the sky or just take a cable car ride to enjoy the views, you’ll be happy to know that besides the various mandatory Covid-19 safe management measures, organisers have limited capacity in each cable car cabin as well. Each cabin will accommodate up to five guests, and only from the same group. Cabins are also disinfected after every ride.

There are also a slew of deals to commemorate the reopening of F&B outlets and attractions at Mount Faber. Tickets to attractions such as the Singapore Cable Car, Wings of Time and the Sentosa Island Bus Tour are going at 55 per cent off for all local visitors, with a free upgrade for unlimited rides and premium seating. F&B outlets such as Arbora and Dusk Restaurant & Bar are also doling out special discounts for those who don’t feel like dining in a cable car cabin, but still want to enjoy hilltop views from Mount Faber Park as they eat.
