Former Mediacorp actress and host Sharon Au shared a short message on her Instagram on October 15, musing about her “biggest regret”.

The 46-year-old is based in Paris, where she works as an investment director in a private equity firm.

On reflection, the biggest regret I have is probably not having children and experiencing motherhood. And now it is really too late,” read her caption, which was accompanied by a couple pictures of her bonding with a friend’s kid.

It’s ok, the next best thing is to be a nanny and play with my friends’ beautiful kids!” she went on to say, adding the hashtag c'est la vie” which roughly means “such is life”.

Although Sharon seems to have made peace with the fact that she may not be able to experience motherhood, a number of netizens left their two cents in the comments, writing that it might not be too late for her after all.
