Sheren Tang, Wayne Lai Reportedly Reuniting To Shoot 4th Instalment Of TVB Drama Rosy Business Next Year
The beloved onscreen pair got fans excited with a photo of their reunion.
Popular TVB series Rosy Business was one of the station’s most successful dramas of 2009, sweeping numerous accolades including Best Drama, Best Actor for Wayne Lai, and Best Actress for Sheren Tang at that year’s TVB Anniversary Awards.
The show spawned two sequels, 2010’s No Regrets and 2016’s No Reserve, and shooting for a fourth instalment was reportedly supposed to start in March this year but was called off due to the pandemic and the rumoured withdrawal of investors’ support.
However, there is a glimmer of hope for fans: On Tuesday (Sep 7), new reports emerged claiming that the filming schedule for Rosy Business 4 has already been finalised and production will kick off in March next year, with both Wayne, 57, and Sheren, 55, taking on the lead roles again.
Seemingly corroborating this update is a photo (see below) that Wayne posted of himself with Sheren on Monday (Sep 6), along with a caption about “cherished reunions” and “everlasting friendships”.
Sheren later reposted the picture and added, “Two people who don’t have a lot of friends becoming friends must be a match made in heaven! Just come to Beijing to meet me anytime.”
She also included a hashtag saying, “As long as the two of us haven’t retired, there is always a chance for us to work together again.”
The reunion between the beloved onscreen duo thrilled netizens, who left excited comments such as: “The Rosy Business couple, a forever classic”, “The photo is here, will the collaboration be far behind?”, and “Rosy Business is a classic among classics, I look forward to you two working together again”.
According to earlier reports, Rosy Business 4 will be a large-scale co-production between TVB and a Chinese company, and will feature a brand new story set in the early Republic of China.
