Show Luo’s Endorsed S’pore Restaurant Niu Dian Sold 6,000 Beef Noodle Bowls In A Week

It looks like Xiao Zhu’s star power draw is still strong.

Taiwanese star Show Luo was in town recently on Feb 8 to open his endorsed beef noodle restaurant, Niu Dian, in Balestier. In a press release sent out yesterday (Feb 23), it was revealed that the restaurant served some 6,000 bowls of beef noodles in a week. Niu Dian, which first opened in Taiwan, was on the Michelin Guide Taipei’s Bib Gourmand list for three years from 2018 to 2020. In the press release, Show also joked that he had eaten so much of his own endorsed food (“I can eat as much as six bowls at a time”) that it was “hard to lose weight while losing profit” from his intense bingeing.

He is now the ambassador of the F&B brands under Niu Dian’s parent company

After being signed as an ambassador for Niu Dian, Show has also been confirmed to endorse the rest of the F&B brands under Niu Dian’s Singapore-based parent company Food Palace Group, which includes casual Korean restaurants and a bubble tea brand called Palace Tea.

Show, a frequent traveller to South Korea due to his clothing endorsements there, visits the country around two to three times a year. “I often take my colleagues to eat K-BBQ, fried chicken and bibimbap at both restaurants and roadside stalls,” he said.

Come March 18, Show will also be holding a concert at Genting Highlands in Malaysia.

Niu Dian is located #01-01/02 VIIO @ Balestier, 520 Balestier Rd, S329853. Open daily, Thu-Sun 11am-9.30pm, Fri & Sat 11am-10pm. Last order 30 mins before closing. www.instagram.com/niudiansg.
