Taiwanese actor Dylan Kuo, 44, raised eyebrows last month when he confirmed rumours that he is dating 25-year-old Chinese actress Ma Zehan.

Their 19-year age gap had netizens criticising Dylan for “preying on young girls”, with some even saying that the couple were more like “father and daughter .

The criticism hasn't fazed Dylan and Zehan, and why should it?

In a recent interview with a Chinese magazine, Dylan gushed about how Zehan has taught him how to slow down and “spend more time to appreciate the endless beauty that life brings”.

In another interview with a Taiwanese media outlet, Dylan admitted that he is aware of the disapproving remarks about their relationship, adding that while their 19-year age gap is “indeed very weird, [his] family is very supportive [of them].”

The actor also revealed that he is going to marry Zehan in 2023, and that he has bought a house in Beijing for them to settle down in.

He was intending on asking his actor pals Peter Ho and Calvin Chen to be his groomsmen, but realised that it won’t be possible as they are both married.

Instead, Jiro Wang, who is still single, will be his best man.

Dylan and Zehan are believed to have met on the set of 2020 fantasy drama Eternal Love Of Dream, which was filmed in 2018. The pair played minor characters in the series that starred Dilireba and Gao Weiguang.
