Trailer Watch: Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington, Michelle Yeoh Teach Fairy-Tale Magic In The School For Good And Evil

The movie, directed by Paul Feig, is adapted from Soman Chainani’s 2013 novel.

If you were a fairy tale character, do you want to be a hero or villain?

That’s the question you’ll be obsessing over in the new Netflix flick The School for Good and Evil, which just dropped its official trailer on Tuesday (Sept 13).

The film, directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Last Christmas), is adapted from the 2013 novel by Soman Chainani, stars Sophia Anne Caruso and Sofia Wyle as two friends who enroll at the titular institution to fine-tine their fairy tale survival skills.

One girl ends up in the School for Evil, run by the “glamorous and acid-tongued” Lady Lesso (Charlize Theron),and  the other, the School for Good overseen by the “sunny and kind” Professor Dovey (Kerry Washington).

Who will graduate top of their class?

The movie, which looks like a cross between Harry Potter and Once Upon a Time, also stars Laurence Fishburne as the School Master and Michelle Yeoh (she’s everywhere!) as Professor Anemone (per IMDB), who teaches beautification at the School for Good.

The School for Good and Evil premieres on Netflix on Oct 19. Watch the trailer here:
