Trailer Watch: Get A Closer Look Of The Female Black Panther In Wakanda Forever
Wakanda Forever: Black Panther is the final instalment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4.
Marvel has dropped another trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, with more footage from the highly-anticipated sequel due next month, including a closer look of Tenoch Huerta’s Namor of the underwater kingdom of Talocan (he flies too!), Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams aka Ironheart, and the new Black Panther. The latter appears to be a woman but the trailer keeps her(?) identity a secret.
Who will take over Black Panther mantle from King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman who died in 2020 from colon cancer)? Can it be Shuri (Letitia Wright)? Or maybe it’s Nakia (Lupito Nong’o)? (Our money is on Shuri who's behind the outfit.)
During the San Diego Comic-Con presentation in July, director Ryan Coogler said the sequel — which is also the final entry of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 — will take the audience to “new places in Wakanda that we haven’t seen before and it [will go] to new places in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
Last week, it was reported that Wakanda Forever has a running time of two hours and 41 minutes, making it the longest Phase 4 movie. The current Phase 4 record holder, last year’s Eternals, clocks in at two hours and 36 minutes. The longest MCU movie is still 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, which ran just over three hours.
