Yoyo Chen Didn’t Thank Her Husband Vincent Wong In Her Best Supporting Actress Speech... Here's Why

Yoyo's one pragmatic woman.

Married TVB stars Vincent Wong and Yoyo Chen’s frosty relationship has been tabloid fodder for years.

At the last TVB Anniversary Awards, all everyone could talk about was Yoyo’s expressionless mug when Vincent thanked her in his speech when he won Best Actor.

For this year’s ceremony, Yoyo was named Best Actress In A Supporting Role for her work in Plan B, though everyone hoping for a repeat of last year's meme-tastic moment would be sorely disappointed as Vincent was, well, MIA.

During her speech, the visibly emotional 40-year-old said, “I’ve been with the company for 17 years and I’m finally standing on this stage. It hasn’t been easy and I’d like to thank the company for giving me this prize and allowing me to learn so much over the years. Otherwise, I would never have been able to stand here.”

She continued thanking her bosses and the crew, along with her on-screen partner Jonathan Cheung. At the end of her speech, Yoyo thanked “everyone at home and all my friends who love me”.

When Yoyo was asked by reporters backstage why she didn't mention Vincent in her speech, she said that she had “thanked all [her] family members and that it would be difficult to thank everyone individually because there wasn't enough time.”

Sounds logical right?

Does this cordial exchange mean that things are improving for Yoyo and Vincent?

Meanwhile, Vincent posted a screenshot of Yoyo’s acceptance speech on his IG Stories, congratulating his wife on the win.

In return, Yoyo reposted his story and added a ‘thank you’ gif to it.
