Social Media Week Singapore gets Sixx-y

Social Media Week Singapore rocked to new heights when Sixx performed in the first ever crowdsourced gig in Singapore, #TweetJams, at Lucky 13. Led by frontman Kevin Lester, the nine-piece band performed lyrics previously submitted by members of the public with the hashtag #tweetjams and #smwsg. Missed the event? Check out the video below! Sixx led an amazing, high-energy set, and the full-house crowd was extremely into it, bopping and rocking during the entire gig. The band was extremely tight, from the bass lines to the drum beats and the soaring vocals and I don't think anybody in the crowd left disappointed, especially since Sixx came back onstage for an encore at the behest of the crowd. The most appreciated song was their first single Supersonic, which was launched in Singapore on the very same night. It was nice to see the tweetwall again, and the crowd was really pumped the entire night as the tweetwall was filled with tweets about the #TweetJam. It would have been interesting to see if any band could respond to live-tweets instead of having things pre-prepared, but that's going to be quite a crazy undertaking no matter how improvisational a band is. But with free-flow of Smirnoff, a T-shirt printing station, and video wall and dance beats by Syndicate and DJ Koflow, I do believe a great night was had by all.
