SINGAPORE — Could we soon see JJ Lin on the silver screen?

Speaking to reporters at a press conference held at The Fullerton Hotel, the Mandopop star revealed his plans to venture into film, after ten successful years in the music business.

“I’ve been focused on my music in the last ten years. But from next year onwards, I hope to have more opportunities to try new things outside of music, such as film or television,” said the 32-year-old, who added he doesn’t mind trying out romantic comedies.

Perhaps with SHE’s Hebe Tien as his leading lady? “She’s pretty ideal,” he said with a laugh.

The Singapore-born Mandopop star was in town to promote his upcoming concert, Timeline, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

However, Lin added that he was less sure of his plans for his personal life. “It’s harder to plan your personal life,” he quipped.

“When it comes to love and relationships, I don’t want to give myself a deadline for when I have to get a girlfriend, or when I have to get married. Now I’m single and I don’t want to put restrictions on when I have to look for a partner.”

“I think right now, I just want to spend more time getting to know someone, or to get to know a friend,” said the singer.

JJ Lin’s Timeline concert will be held on Nov 9 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Tickets from $88 to $198 at Sistic.
