SINGAPORE — MediaCorp’s multi-platform on-demand service Toggle has just unveiled new features and a new look.

You can now add programmes to a “favourite” list for better accessibility and easier sharing via social media. And a new notification feature alerts you whenever a new episode of your favourite series is available.

A new children’s section called KidsZone also features an extensive library of family-friendly content suitable for young children. A Kids-mode switch allows parents to lock access to non-KidsZone content.

More improvements are in the works: Users will soon be able to download programmes onto their mobile devices through the Toggle app for later viewing over a period of up to 14 days. And the iOS version of the app allows users to purchase a Toggle Prime subscription using their iTunes account.

With these improvements, subscribers can better enjoy Toggle’s 30 channels and more than 20,000 on-demand titles, as well as watch dramas in advance of their broadcast with Toggle-It-First.

Meanwhile, new original content coming up on Toggle includes PCK Walkabout, a four-episode series that will be launched on July 10 and which will feature Singapore’s favourite — and most famous — contractor Phua Chu Kang, interacting with Singaporeans from all walks of life. He will also play mentor to Mike Kasem, who learns about all things Beng and gets tips on how to speak better Singlish.

Catch Unexpected Strangers, a thriller telemovie that has just premiered and stars Jeanette Aw, Elvin Ng and Zhang Zhen Huan. It is a spin-off of the MediaCorp TV Channel 8 drama World At Your Feet.

In August, look out for What Do Men Want, a comedy series about two struggling actors who share a bachelor pad. And in October, the horror-themed telemovie Mystic Whispers, starring Romeo Tan and Sheila Sim, will be available.May Seah
