Fire breaks out at PAP Community Foundation kindergarten at Bedok North Ave 1

SINGAPORE — Approximately 40 people evacuated from Blk 519 Bedok North Avenue 1 after a fire broke out at the block’s PAP Community Foundation kindergarten on Tuesday (Oct 18) evening.

SINGAPORE —  A fire broke out at the PAP Community Foundation kindergarten at Blk 519 Bedok North Avenue 1 on Tuesday (Oct 18) evening.

Some 40 people were evacuated before the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived. There were no reported injuries, said the SCDF, which was alerted to the fire at about 7.35pm.

The SCDF said the fire involved an air-condition unit, and was extinguished by SCDF using one water jet in approximately 15 minutes.

The cause of fire is still under investigation. The SCDF dispatched two fire engines, two red rhinos, one ambulance and three support vehicles .
