SINGAPORE — The man who received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) from People's Action Party (PAP) candidate Koh Poh Koon this morning has died, said Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) in a statement this evening.

The Chinese man, who was in his 70s, had died at KTPH's A&E Department at 10am, after he collapsed at Ang Mo Kio Central Market & Food Centre earlier in the morning.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the incident at 7.57am and the man was conveyed to KTPH. Before the ambulance arrived, Dr Koh who was present, had performed CPR on the man.

"The man's next-of-kin has been informed and our hospital's staff have been counselling the family," said KTPH.

Dr Koh, a colorectal surgeon, is part of the PAP’s six-member team contesting in Ang Mo Kio GRC.
