Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG Concept

It may be officially called a concept for now, but make no mistake, this is the stonking hot version of Mercedes-Benz’s recently-launched GLA compact crossover. Like its close cousin the A 45 AMG, the GLA 45 AMG uses the same 2.0l turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pumps out an incredible 355bhp and 450Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.

Porsche Macan

The Macan is a mid-sized crossover SUV that will take on the likes of the BMW X3 and Range Rover Evoque, and it’s obvious the firm is thinking of replicating the success of the car’s larger predecessor, the Cayenne.

Two versions of the Macan will be available at launch, with the base Macan S model having a 3.0l twin-turbo V6 with 340bhp, and the Macan Turbo boasting a 3.6l twin-turbo V6 with 400bhp. Expect it to be priced slightly below the current entry-level Porsche, the Boxster, when it arrives in Singapore in the middle of next year.

BMW 4 Series Convertible

Like its 3 Series Convertible predecessor, the drop-top version of BMW’s 4 Series boasts a three-piece folding hard-top roof, which can be lowered or raised in 20s, and can be operated at speeds of up to 18kmh.

BMW will offer the 428i and 435i models initially when the 4 Series Convertible goes on sale next year, with the 428i model featuring a 2.0l turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 240bhp. The 435i Convertible meanwhile packs a 3.0l turbocharged in-line six with 300bhp.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe

Jaguar unveiled its highly-anticipated F-Type Coupe at the LA Auto Show, and the closed-roof version offers much of the same performance of the much-acclaimed F-Type Roadster.

Three versions will be offered: The base model powered by the same 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine producing either 340bhp or 380bhp, and the range-topping F-Type R Coupe with a 5.0l supercharged V8 producing 550bhp. Ben Chia
