SINGAPORE — Those interested in attending this year's National Day Parade (NDP) or either of the two preview shows at the Padang can apply for tickets when applications open at noon next Monday (May 27).

Singapore citizens and permanent residents can apply for two, four or six tickets for the parade on Aug 9 or any one of the two preview shows on July 27 and Aug 3, said the NDP 2024 executive committee on Friday.

Applications can be made on the NDP website or by scanning a QR code to access the application form.

Applicants will have to use their Singpass account. The organisers said this will allow applicants to use Singpass MyInfo for automated form filling, and reduce fraudulent attempts to obtain personal information through fake application forms.

An electronic balloting system will determine successful applicants. Tickets are not allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

"Each applicant will only be entitled to one ballot chance. Only the latest submission will be considered as final, and all previous entries will be excluded from the balloting process," said the committee.

Each ticket can admit only one spectator. All children, including infants that are carried in the arms, must have a valid ticket to enter.

Applications will close at noon on June 10.

Successful applicants will be notified via email between June 21 and June 25. The email notification will be sent from ndp2024 [at] klook.com (ndp2024[at]klook[dot]com)

"Recipients of any notifications from NDP 2024 should beware of emails sent from other addresses as they could be scams or phishing attempts," said the committee.

This year’s NDP celebrations on Aug 9 will be extended to The Promontory @ Marina Bay.

There will also be celebrations at five sites in the heartlands a day later, with stage performances, static displays of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Singapore Police Force (SPF) vehicles, fireworks as well as carnival activities to look forward to.

This year’s theme, “Together, As One United People” highlights the "collective strength" of Singaporeans and underscores the importance of every citizen rallying together to shape their future and uplift those around them, said the committee. CNA
