A woman, 32, and her 62-year-old boyfriend were each sentenced to jail, a fine and a driving ban for lying to the police and other offences

The woman asked her boyfriend to let her drive his rental car

She did not have a driving licence and had never taken driving lessons

When they spotted a roadblock from afar, the couple switched seats to avoid detection, but the police officers saw them doing so

The couple lied to an officer about what they did, saying they stopped the car before the roadblock to get some work files
