Two new bus services to be launched under Bus Service Enhancement Programme
SINGAPORE — SBS Transit and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) are launching two new bus services on Dec 14 as part of the LTA’s Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP). Another bus service will also see its route extended starting Dec 15, SBS Transit and the LTA announced today (Dec 2).

The first new bus service, 41, will run a loop between Jurong East Bus Interchange and Jalan Anak Bukit. It will ply along Jurong Gateway Road, Jurong East Central, Toh Guan Road, Toh Guan Road East, Toh Tuck Link, Toh Tuck Avenue, Toh Tuck Road, Jalan Jurong Kechil, Jalan Anak Bukit and Upper Bukit Timah Road along the way.
In addition, it will provide commuters with convenient access to key amenities such as Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital, Bukit Timah Community Centre, Bukit Timah Market, Toh Guan Industrial Estate and shopping malls such as JCube, Jem, Westgate and Bukit Timah Plaza.
The second new bus service, 140, will provide better connectivity for commuters travelling between Lorong 1 Geylang Bus Terminal and St Wilfred Road. It will pass Upper Boon Keng Road, Geylang Bahru, Bendemeer Road, Boon Keng Road, Serangoon Road and St George’s Road on its route.
Key landmarks on the way include markets in Bendemeer, Geylang Bahru and Upper Boon Keng, Geylang West and Kolam Ayer Community Centres and schools such as Bendemeer Primary and Bendemeer Secondary.
Finally, bus service 35, which currently operates from Bedok Bus Interchange and loops at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, will see its route extended to further travel along Bedok North Drive, New Upper Changi Road, Upper Changi Road East, Xilin Avenue, Tanah Merah Ferry Road, Changi Coast Road and pass the Airport Logistics Park of Singapore.
At the same time, the existing Service 35 between Bedok Bus Interchange and Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal will be renumbered as Service 35M,
According to a SBS Transit-LTA joint statement, the new bus services and amended bus service bring the total number of bus services introduced under BSEP to 36.
