59-year-old woman murdered in Telok Kurau

SINGAPORE — A 59-year-old woman was found murdered in a home in Lorong H Telok Kurau on Tuesday evening (June 7) and her maid, 23, has been arrested in connection with the death.
In a statement from the Singapore Police Force early Wednesday morning, the victim’s motionless body was found when police arrived at the scene. Paramedics pronounced her dead just after 9pm.
The victim's 57-year-old husband was found injured and sent to Changi General Hospital for treatment.
TODAY understands that the daughter-in-law of the victim called the police following a commotion in the second-floor toilet of the home. When the victim's husband rushed to the toilet, the maid allegedly emerged holding a knife.
Police have classified the case as murder.
