Body of 62-year-old man found in waters at East Coast Park

SINGAPORE — The body of a 62-year-old man was retrieved from the waters at East Coast Park near car park F3.

SINGAPORE — The body of a 62-year-old man was retrieved from the waters at East Coast Park near car park F3.

The police told TODAY on Monday (March 8) that they were alerted at 7.04am to a case of suspected drowning and the body of the man was later found and retrieved from the waters. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic, the police said.

SCDF said that it received a call for water rescue assistance at 7.10am and upon arrival, a body was seen floating in the water. Rescuers retrieved the body from near the shoreline. 

The police added that preliminary investigations showed there is no foul play suspected and investigations are ongoing.
