Bull escapes from pen in Lim Chu Kang farm
SINGAPORE — The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is working with the National Parks Board to locate a bull that escaped from a dairy farm in Lim Chu Kang on Tuesday (April 9).
The bull had pushed its way through the gates of its pen but is still within the farm's seven-acre grounds.
SINGAPORE — The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is working with the National Parks Board to locate a bull that escaped from its pen on a dairy farm in Lim Chu Kang on Tuesday (April 9).
The SFA said in a Facebook post at about 10.30pm on Tuesday that farms in the vicinity have been advised of the escaped bull.
It also told members of the public not to approach or provoke the bull if they see it.
Instead, they should report the sighting to the Animal Response Centre at 1800 476 1600.
TODAY has confirmed that the bull is from Viknesh Dairy Farm, even though a spokesperson had earlier said that the bull is not theirs.
The farm's owner, who gave his name as Manikandan, said the bull pushed its way through the gates of its pen on Tuesday, but is still within the farm's seven-acre grounds.
A search party consisting of staff from SFA, NParks and employees of the farm began looking for the bull, a black and white two-year-old calf named Ganesha, at about 10am on Wednesday.
