SINGAPORE — Two more individuals have been charged over the death of a 19-year-old girl, whose body was found in a Clementi flat earlier this month.

The girl’s brother, 29-year-old Huang Bocan, was first charged over her death on May 6, a day after her body was found.

On Wednesday (May 12), Chee Mei Wan and Lim Peng Tiong were charged with allegedly forming a common intention with Huang to voluntarily cause grievous hurt to the deceased, Huang Baoying, with a wooden pole.

Chee is a 41-year-old female Singaporean permanent resident, while Lim is a 62-year-old male Singaporean.

Court documents did not state what relationship the duo had with the deceased.

Huang’s charge sheet has now been amended to reflect that he, too, had allegedly formed a common intention with Chee and Lim to cause grievous hurt to his sister.

Court documents showed that the alleged attack took place at about 11pm on May 4 at Block 602 Clementi West Street 1. No further details were given.

TODAY previously reported that the police were alerted to a case of unnatural death at the unit at about 6.30am the following day.

Police officers found the teenager lying motionless there and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The trio have been remanded at the Central Police Division and are scheduled to return to court on May 19.

If convicted of voluntarily causing grievous hurt, they could be jailed for up to 10 years as well as be fined or caned.
