SINGAPORE — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices closed mostly lower at the end of the latest bidding exercise on Thursday (Jan 4), with premiums for small cars, large cars, goods vehicles and buses falling to levels not seen since 2022.

Premiums for small cars (up to 1,600cc & 97kW) or fully electric cars with output of up to 110kW slumped 23.52 per cent to S$65,010, the lowest since Feb 23, 2022. 

For large cars (above 1,600cc or 97kW) or fully electric cars with output over 110kW, premiums dived 22.7 per cent to S$85,010, the lowest since Jan 19, 2022. 

In the category for goods vehicles and buses, COE prices dipped 2.63 per cent to S$67,599, the lowest since Oct 5, 2022. 

In the motorcycle category, premiums rose to S$9,114, compared to S$9,002 in the previous bidding exercise.

And in the open category, which can be used for any type of vehicles except motorcycles, premiums slid 10.14 per cent to S$106,388.
