COE prices fall for all categories except large cars in last tender exercise of 2022

SINGAPORE — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices closed mostly lower on Wednesday (Dec 21) afternoon at the end of the final tender exercise for 2022, with only the large car category seeing an increase in prices since the previous bidding exercise.

SINGAPORE — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices closed mostly lower on Wednesday (Dec 21) afternoon at the end of the final tender exercise for 2022, with only the large car category seeing an increase in prices since the previous bidding exercise.

Category B premiums — for large cars (above 1600cc or 97kW) or fully electric cars with output over 110kW — rose from S$105,501 in the previous bidding exercise to S$108,006.

In contrast, Category A premiums — for small cars (up to 1,600cc & 97kW) or fully electric cars with output of up to 110kW — dipped slightly from S$88,503 in the last exercise to S$88,007.

Premiums for goods vehicles and buses fell by 4.05 per cent — the greatest decrease among the various categories — to S$78,200 from S$81,501 in the previous bidding exercise.

In the motorcycle category, premiums went down to S$11,690, compared to S$12,100 in the previous bidding exercise.

And in the open category, which can be used for any type of vehicles except motorcycles, premiums decreased by 0.84 per cent to S$109,600.
