COE prices fall for all vehicle categories except for small cars

SINGAPORE — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices closed mostly lower at the end of the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday (July 5), with premiums for large cars sliding from the previous high of S$121,000.

SINGAPORE — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices closed mostly lower at the end of the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday (July 5), with premiums for large cars sliding from the previous high of S$121,000.

The one exception to the downward trend: Premiums for small cars (up to 1,600cc & 97kW) or fully electric cars with an output of up to 110kW, which rose by 0.83 per cent to S$97,000.

Large cars (above 1,600cc or 97kW) or fully electric cars with output over 110kW saw premiums fall from S$121,000 in the previous bidding exercise to S$118,002.

Meanwhile, COE prices for goods vehicles and buses dipped 1.1 per cent to S$82,223.

In the motorcycle category, premiums fell to S$10,090, compared to S$10,709 in the previous bidding exercise.

Lastly, in the open category, which can be used for any type of vehicle except motorcycles, premiums went down by 1.63 per cent to S$121,000.
