COE prices hit record highs in motorcycle, large car, open categories

In the motorcycle category, premiums went up to S$13,189, compared to the previous record of S$12,801 set in the last bidding exercise on Oct 19.
Vehicles in the open category set a new record S$116,577, surpassing the previous high of S$114,001 set in July. These COEs can be used for any vehicles but are mostly used for larger cars.
Large cars (above 1,600cc or 97kW) or fully electric cars with output over 110kW saw premiums go up from S$110,000 in the previous bidding exercise to S$115,388. The previous record was S$113,000 on Sept 7.
Premiums in Category A — for small cars (up to 1,600cc & 97kW) or fully electric cars with output of up to 110kW — rose by 7.58 per cent to S$87,235, while goods vehicles and buses prices increased by 8.69 per cent to S$76,302.
