Downtown Line Stage 1 officially opened by PM Lee
SINGAPORE — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong officially opened Downtown Line Stage 1 in a ceremony today (Dec 21).

SINGAPORE — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong officially opened Downtown Line Stage 1 in a ceremony today (Dec 21).
Stage 1, which comprises six stations from Bugis to Chinatown, will be open to the public from tomorrow.
PM lee said that in the immediate term, the government will invest more resources into maintaining and servicing existing train infrastructure.
He added that infrastructure will take time to build but commuters can in the meanwhile do their part to make the journeys pleasant by giving up seats to those who need it more and to queue for trains. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
