Elderly woman dies after horse accident in Punggol

SINGAPORE — A woman in her 70s died after a horse-riding accident at Punggol Road yesterday (Nov 14).

SINGAPORE — A woman in her 70s died after a horse-riding accident at Punggol Road yesterday (Nov 14).

According to a MediaCorp hotline caller, the woman was flung off the horse and “crushed to death”. She had been pinned under it for about five to 10 minutes, the caller said.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it got a call for help just before 6pm. Officers arrived at 900 Punggol Road about 10 minutes later.

Channel NewsAsia understands that CPR was administered on the elderly woman. Paramedics found that she had no pulse and was not breathing, but they continued with the CPR en route to Changi General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
