While researching universities to enrol in, Jasmine Lu was drawn to University College Dublin (UCD) at Kaplan in Singapore.

She said: “The UCD College of Business has a triple-crown accreditation — Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, Association of MBAs and EFMD Quality Improvement System — that few business schools have.”

Business studies (management) students will gain knowledge of key management concepts that are relevant to corporations, and small and medium enterprises. The 22-year-old, who graduated earlier this year, tells us more.

What is it like studying in Kaplan?

The schedule is flexible and manageable. The school has a conducive learning environment with great facilities like a library, study areas and free network connection. Learning resources and teaching materials are also available online.

Tell us about your lecturers.

Our local lecturers are experienced industry practitioners. We also have lecturers from UCD who fly in to teach us. They expose us to a different teaching style and their perspectives give us a holistic overview.

How has the degree benefitted you?

It has increased my business knowledge and enhanced my critical thinking skills. I have gained a better understanding of consumer behaviour and learnt how it influences the type of marketing used. The degree opened up more doors for me to take on greater challenges in my job and helped advance my career.
