SINGAPORE — Members of the public who have visited shops at a public housing block in Sengkang have been advised by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to get tested for the coronavirus.

In a media release on Wednesday (June 2), the ministry said that it is investigating cases of infection among people who have visited the shops at Block 455 on Sengkang West Avenue. No other details on the cases were available.

Those who have been there between May 12 and 30 will be offered free Covid-19 testing to “pre-emptively mitigate any potential risk of wider, undetected community transmission” of the coronavirus.

Visitors who have been to the shops there during the specific dates are encouraged to visit a regional screening centre or Swab and Send Home Public Health Preparedness Clinic for a free Covid-19 test if they feel unwell.

MOH added that all visitors to the shops there during that period are also advised to monitor their health closely for 14 days.
