Man to be charged with murder of 34-year-old woman in Jurong East
SINGAPORE — A 35-year-old man will be charged on Thursday (Feb 18) with the murder of a 34-year-old woman at a public housing block in Jurong East.

SINGAPORE — A 35-year-old man will be charged on Thursday (Feb 18) with the murder of a 34-year-old woman at a public housing block in Jurong East.
In a statement on Wednesday, the police said that they received a call for help along Jurong East Street 32 on Tuesday at about 11.55pm.
Police officers at the scene found the woman with multiple stab wounds lying motionless at the void deck of Block 308 Jurong East Street 32.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that it received a call for help at about 12.05am and took two people to the nearby Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
The woman was unconscious on the way there and was pronounced dead in hospital at around 1.30am.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the man and woman are known to each other,” the police said.
TODAY understands that the pair were in a relationship.
Murder, punishable under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code, carries the death penalty.
Police investigations are continuing.
