SINGAPORE — A 36-year-old man has been charged with some 260 counts of taking upskirt videos of women.

Be Keng Hoon allegedly committed the offences between October 2011 and August last year.
He is accused of using his handphone, an iPhone 4, to commit the acts, by tucking the phone into the laces of his shoe.
The skinny and bespectacled man appeared in court today (Aug 14), asking for the judge to allow him to leave jurisdiction.
He told the court he was to go to the United States for work from tomorrow until October. But later, he told the prosecution that he would not be leaving the country.
If convicted, Be faces a maximum penalty of a year’s jail and fine on each charge.
