Man charged with murder after body found near Sungei Gedong Camp

SINGAPORE — A man was today (Jan 2) charged with the murder of a production technician.

Chia Kee Chen, 53, allegedly caused the death of Dexmon Chua Yizhi, 37, at a multi-storey carpark at Block 429A Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4.

The alleged murder happened between Dec 28 and Dec 29.

Chia, who was arrested on Tuesday, made no plea in court.

Yesterday, Chia led the police to the body of Chua at an area off Lim Chu Kang Road, near Sungei Gedong Camp.

Chua’s body was found in thick bushes with his hands bound.

The production technician was last seen on Saturday evening, and was reported missing to the police the following day.

Chia will appear in court again on Jan 9. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
