SINGAPORE — Residents and workers at two blocks of Housing and Development Board (HDB) flats in Ang Mo Kio and Clementi will undergo mandatory Covid-19 testing after infection cases were detected there.

In a statement on Saturday (July 24), the Ministry of Health (MOH) said that it is investigating likely Covid-19 transmissions that are taking place at Block 456 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, where eight infected cases have been detected in four households, and Block 340 Clementi Avenue 5 where 12 infections have been detected in four households.

Of these cases, most were linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster, which has a total of 740 cases as of Saturday, MOH said.

Investigations are ongoing.

Leaflets, as well as SMS notifications by phone, have been sent to the affected residents to provide them with more information.

“Residents are also advised to monitor their health closely and consult a doctor immediately if they feel unwell.”

The ministry also advised those who are still waiting for their test results to minimise social interactions as much as possible.
