SINGAPORE — A man retrieved from the Marina Reservoir near the Promontory on Monday (Oct 19) morning was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

Police said they received a call for assistance along 11 Marina Boulevard at 8.44am.

SCDF officers, responding to another call about six minutes later, were initially unable to find the man in the water.

SCDF then deployed divers from its Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team to perform an underwater search and the body was found about two metres from the shore.
