Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong delivered the annual National Day Rally (NDR) speech on Sunday (Aug 18) at the Institute of Technical Education College Central campus in Ang Mo Kio.

Traditionally, the Republic’s leaders use the NDR to unveil policy changes, and the speech is widely seen as the most important political speech of the year.

This year, Mr Lee made a slew of announcements related to climate change, education and older workers. He also spoke about the economy and how the ongoing tensions between the United States and China could have an impact on how Singaporeans live and travel.
