SINGAPORE — Singapore on Thursday (Nov 12) reported 11 new cases of Covid-19, all of them imported. There were no cases in the wider community.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said that a majority of the cases have no symptoms.

The 11 cases comprise one Singaporean, three permanent residents, one dependant’s pass holder, two work pass holders, two work permit holders and two short-term visit pass holders.

MOH said that the two-short term visit pass holders had arrived from Indonesia and Myanmar to visit their family members in Singapore.

The two work permit holders are a man aged 39 and a woman aged 34 — both of whom had arrived from Indonesia.

The remaining imported cases had travel histories to Bahrain, India, Nepal, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

All 11 of the fresh cases were placed on stay-home notices upon their arrival in Singapore where they were tested for the virus.

Overall, the number of new cases in the community has remained low, with a total of one case in the past week. This one case has no known links yet to past cases, MOH said.

UPDATES ON REMAINING CASES

The total number of infections in Singapore now stands at 58,102.

Of these, 58,002 people have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, including 12 on Thursday.
