New IPPT scoring system

National servicemen need to score at least 51 points — out of a maximum of 100 — to pass the new Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) under a new scoring system announced by the Defence Ministry (MINDEF).

Below are the tables for scoring the push-up, sit-up and 2.4km run stations. Pilot implementation of the new scoring system will be conducted from September to November this year.

The Singapore Army has completed their review of the Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) and it will have three stations – 2.4km run, sit-ups and push-ups – instead of the current five, said Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen on 23 July 2014. Photo: Ooi Boon Keong
