SINGAPORE — One of the seven suspects arrested in connection with a slashing incident at Serangoon Road was brought to the Lower Peirce Reservoir on Thursday (July 26) afternoon to assist with investigations.

SINGAPORE — One of the seven suspects arrested in connection with a slashing incident at Serangoon Road was brought to the Lower Peirce Reservoir on Thursday (July 26) afternoon to assist with investigations.
TODAY understands that the suspect had wrapped a samurai sword - one of the weapons used in the attack - in an orange cloth and threw it into the reservoir around 4pm on Wednesday, about two hours after the incident which left a 27-year-old man with serious slash wounds.
Divers entered the reservoir around 1.30pm in an attempt to recover the weapon.
The seven suspects, aged between 17 and 28, were arrested on Thursday morning in the vicinity of Corporation Road and Block 26, Sin Ming Industrial Estate following a manhunt.
Their relationship with the injured victim is not known. Investigations are still ongoing.
