SINGAPORE — A manhunt is under way for two suspects who injured two men with weapons at Boon Lay Drive, said the police on Thursday (April 7).

In a statement, the police said they had responded to calls for assistance at Block 175 Boon Lay Drive at 5.02pm on Wednesday.

The two male victims, aged 22 and 23, were conscious when taken to the hospital, added the police.

In video clips and images of the incident circulating on social media, two men dressed in black can be seen wielding what appears to be machetes at a car park.

The two men are seen, weapons in hand, confronting someone off screen while pacing back and forth.

A female voice is heard in the video shouting that she had called the police, before a second clip showed the two men running away from the scene with their weapons.

In another image, one of the victims appears to be injured with blood running down his face while another man attends to him.

Police investigations are ongoing.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the duo involved are known to the two victims. A manhunt operation is under way to track down the two men involved,” said the police.

“The police would like to remind the public that the harbouring of fugitives is a serious offence which is punishable with imprisonment and fine."
