SINGAPORE – SingPost will be lowering postage rates for Christmas greeting cards mailed between Dec 2 and Dec 25 this year.

The festive postage rates for non-standard size greeting cards sent to a local address will be 30¢ (for weights up to 20g) and 37¢ (for weights up to 40g), reduced from the regular postage rate of 60¢.

Overseas postage rates are split into three different zones.

For cards sent to Malaysia and Brunei, postage rates will remain unchanged at 50¢ (for weights of up to 20g) and 70¢ (for weights of up to 50g).

For cards sent to countries in Asia and the Pacific (except Australia, Japan and New Zealand), the rate will be 70¢ (for weights up to 40g), reduced from the regular rate of S$1.20.

For cards sent to anywhere else in the world, the postage rates will similarly be 70¢ (for weights up to 40g), reduced from S$2.00 originally.

This is the 15th year SingPost is offering promotional postal rates to encourage the sending of greeting cards during Singapore’s four major festivals: Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Puasa, Deepavali and Christmas.

Customers can purchase stamps for their greeting cards at all post offices, Self-Automated Machines (SAM), postal agents and stamp vendors located island-wide.
