SINGAPORE — The trial of a male teacher accused of molesting four primary school boys opened today (Nov 25).
The Mother Tongue teacher and alleged victims, who are from a school in the west of Singapore, cannot be named due to a gag order.
Court documents state that the 33-year-old man molested the four boys, aged between 10 and 12, in 2011 and early last year.
The teacher, who was overseeing a uniformed group, allegedly hugged and kissed the boys and touched the private parts of one of the students.
The offences are said to have been committed at various locations, including the Physical Education storeroom and his workstation in the staff room.
The teacher has been interdicted since March last year and claimed trial.
The trial is expected to go on for the rest of the week.
