Tower Transit bus driver, 64, suspended after bus crashes through road divider; 9 passengers onboard, no injuries
SINGAPORE — A 64-year-old bus captain has been suspended after the bus he was driving crashed through a road divider at Ang Mo Kio on Wednesday (Oct 12) morning.

SINGAPORE — A 64-year-old bus driver has been suspended after the bus he was driving crashed through a road divider in Ang Mo Kio on Wednesday (Oct 12) morning.
Responding to TODAY’s queries on Thursday, bus operator Tower Transit said the accident involved service 853. Nine passengers were on board when it happened.
“No one was injured,” the operator added.
"The bus captain has been suspended while an investigation is being conducted," it said.
In a statement on Thursday, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to a traffic accident along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 near the junction of Ang Mo Kio Central 1 on Wednesday at around 11.40am.
SCDF added that its assistance was not required.
A video circulating on Facebook since Wednesday evening shows a Tower Transit bus mounted across a divider between two trees in the middle of a road.
The bus driver is assisting with police investigations, the police said in a statement on Thursday.
