SINGAPORE — SIM University (UniSIM) will be introducing three new full-time degrees — in Accountancy, Marketing and Finance — by August next year, and will allow students in those programmes to complete their degrees in three years or take as long as six to finish up.

In an announcement today (Oct 21), UniSIM said that the programmes will be structured around a flexible learning environment allowing students to take more courses each semester to graduate earlier, or enrol in evening classes with part-time students.

Students will also be able to access e-learning resources to continue their studies during their work attachments. For those who decide to enter the workforce before they graduate, they can continue their studies on a part-time basis.

The pioneer intake for UniSIM full-time programmes will go up to 200 students. Admissions criteria include an ‘A’-Level Certificate or Polytechnic Diplomas as well as non-academic aspects, like leadership qualities and contributions to society.

Students in this inaugural batch will undergo a 6-month work attachment. They are also required to complete a project covering a work-related issue.

UniSIM also said that Marketing and Finance programmes can be taken with a minor from disciplines such as Communication, Psychology and Analytics, among others.
