SINGAPORE – Eight-time German Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund have landed in Singapore ahead of their friendly match against Johor Darul Ta'zim tomorrow (July 9) in Johor Bahru.

The team's All Nippon Airways flight arrived today (July 8) from Japan where they beat J-League side Kawasaki Frontale 6-0.

Boasting the likes of World Cup winner Mats Hummels, Marco Reus, Shinji Kagawa and Ilkay Gundogan and new coach Thomas Tuchel, Dortmund are touring Asia as part of their pre-season tour from July 5 to 11.

About 100 fans were at Changi Airport’s Terminal Two to welcome the team, where a mad rush ensued for autographs and selfies with the players, including Hummels and Reus who obliged despite their tight schedule.

Among those who awaited the arrival of the 2013 Champions League finalists was 21-year-old Zhi Hao who stood star struck after German international Marco Reus signed his jersey.

"I managed to get an autograph from Reus but I would have actually preferred a selfie! Nonetheless, I am quite happy. I've been following them since their Champions League final,” he said.

The club, which won the 1997 Champions League, are coming off a disappointing last season in which they finished seventh. Dortmund will kick off their 2015-16 German Bundesliga season on August 15 when they host Borussia Moenchengladbach.
