Singapore – The Singapore Rugby Union (SRU) and Rhino Rugby have signed an agreement that will see the leading rugby equipment manufacturer become the official training and equipment supplier for the SRU for the next two years.
In a media release today (Jan 18), SRU said the partnership would allow the national rugby teams to train using top quality Rhino products which are currently being used by the top international teams such as the Wales Rugby Union, England Rugby, South Africa Rugby Union, France Rugby Union, The British & Irish Lions and Hong Kong Rugby.
Rhino Rugby was also the official supplier at last year’s Rugby World Cup.
As part of the agreement, the London-based manufacturers will also provide equipment support at the upcoming HSBC Singapore World 7s on April 16-17 at the National Stadium that will feature teams such as New Zealand, Wales, England and South Africa.
“Rhino Rugby is a well-known rugby brand and we are delighted to announce this partnership, “ said George Danapal, SRU general manager. “This is the first time SRU has appointed a training and equipment supplier since our establishment in 1995. It is a big step forward for Singapore Rugby and we hope to continue this arrangement beyond the current two years.”
