SEA Games: Sheik Farhan wins Singapore's first silat gold medal

KUALA LUMPUR — Double world champion Sheik Farhan Sheik Alau’ddin has won Singapore's first silat gold medal at the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.

KUALA LUMPUR — Double world champion Sheik Farhan Sheik Alau’ddin has won Singapore's first silat gold medal at the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.

The 19-year-old dominated Malaysia's Khaizul Yaacob in the men's tanding class J (90-95kg), notching a 5-0 over three rounds to clinch victory on Tuesday (Aug 29).

His victory comes on final day of silat competition at the Juara Stadium, where teammates Nur Alfian Juma'en and Shakir Juanda were both beaten in their tanding finals.
